Mark Scholz was born in Warren, Ohio.  After attending Mira Loma High School in Sacramento, California, Marck graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington, with a BA in Music Education and minors in Physical Education and History.

Touring with the "Choir of the West", Mark sang throughout the U.S. and Europe.  During the summer of 1970, he toured the United States with the "Ambassador Quartet".

Mark taught Choral Music at Jefferson Middle School and then opened the new Albuquerque High School building as Choir Director and Varisty Soccer Coach.  In 1978, he moved to Cibola High School where he taught Chorus and coached soccer.  Her started the Albuquerque Good Day Singers adn the Cibola Celebration Show Choir.

Since 1982, Mark has been an active clinician throughout the state of New Mexico.  He has been a judge for many solo, ensemble, and large group festivals.  Mark spends part of his summers in the Jemez Mountains teaching choir and guitar for Hummingbird Music Camp.

For 22 years, Mark was the professional fundraising director for Institutional Financing Services' America's Lemonade Stand.  He currently teaches guitar with the Moriarity Public Schools.
