How do I join the ABC?
Anyone interested in joining the Albuquerque Boy Choir will need to schedule an audition. The audition process is a very informal private screening with one of the Directors as well as a time for anyone interested to obtain more information. Please see How to Join for more info.
What are the ages of the boys?
Ages of the boys range from 6 - 21. The Albuquerque Boy Choir is comprised of four separtate groups: Cadets (6-9), Choristers (9-11), Concert Choir (10-16), and Cantamos (15-21). Each group rehearses and performs independently and as a whole. Please visit each choir page to find more specific information about each ensemble.
What is the financial commitment required of the ABC?
The ABC is a non-profit organization whose activities are funded through membership tution, concert revenues, fundraising projects, and tax-deductible contributions. In an effort to keep choir participation affordable, opportunities for fundraising are offered; however, due to IRS regulations, tuition cannot be fundraised.

Is there Financial Assistance available?
The Choir offers a limited number of half-tuition scholarships based on need/merit. The scholarship does not cover the enrollment fee, uniform fee, or fundraising assessments. There are numerous fundraising opportunities thoughout the year to help with assessment and tour costs.
Is there a discount for siblings?
Yes! Families having more than one child in the ABC receive a 25% discount for younger siblings.
When does the ABC rehearse?
Cadets, Choristers and Concert Choir rehearse every Tuesday evening at First Presbyterian Church. Cadets: 6:00PM - 7:30PM; Choristers: 6:00PM - 8:00PM; Concert Choir 6:45PM - 8:45PM. Cantamos rehearses every Thursday evening at the Public Academy for the Performing Arts from 5:30PM - 7:00PM.
Where does the Albuquerque Boy Choir Travel?
Annually, the Albuquerque Boy Choir retreats to Hummingbird Music Camp for a weekend of music and recreation. In addition, individual choirs have toured our local region and nation. Last year the Concert Choir and Cantamos traveled to southern NM and West Texas, while the Choristers toured Prescott, AZ and Grand Canyon.
